Me vs Metabolism

An odd post to begin with for what was originally inteded to be a Tech/Philosophy/Social Critique themed blog, but I’m untertaking a crusade.
You see, in over seven years now, I’ve been 61kg – with a little fluctuation each way. Now, I can hear the cries of readers who’ve struggled with weight issues “Don’t complain, I’ve tried for years to lose weight and keep putting it on” etc etc.. Although I’m on the other side of the physiological fence so to speak – I can tell you it’s not that different over here.
I have gone to great lengths in the past to increase my body mass, so at the very least I don’t look like something a vulture would be dining on in the savannah. I eat ravenously, and often. Admittedly until recently, lunch was a concept I dimly recalled only from my school days, but I usually have a large breakfast, a multitide of unhealthy snacking throughout the course of the day, and it’s not uncommon for me to make late night trips to a drive-through a few hours after tea.
So why then, the weediness? Well, after a little research, it turns out coffee and cigarettes are excellent at increasing the metabolic drive. Now, I know I have a naturally high metabolism, but I smoke, and my daily caffeine intake is, well…criminal.

So, the game is on, and bony I shall be no more. Strategy – Detox, 5 meals a day (with snacks in between) and *choke* regular excersize. Game on metabolism – lets see how good you really are…

To be continued..
